How to Create a Program that Requires an Access Code
Key Definitions
Access Code: A code that must be entered in order to allow a user to register for a program.
Access Link: A special URL that gives the user access to program page and the ability to register immediately.
Program Link: A URL that gives the user access to program page. If the program requires an Access Code, the user will not be able to register until they enter the Access Code.
Sign in to a PlayerFirst website.
On the left navigation, click Program > Registration Details.
Find the program you wish to create an Access Code for, find and select the Pencil icon under the Actions column for that program.
Click Registration in the sub navigation.
To the right of List Publicly, select Code Required for Registration.
To the right of Access Code, type the access code that will be required for a user to register for this program.
Click the Save icon.
To share this program’s URL with users and allow them to register without entering the Access Code, follow these steps…
Right click the Access Link and click Copy Link.
Note: The Access Link that you copied includes the Access Code in the URL in order to give the user immediate access to register for the program.
Note: Do NOT click the Access Link and share the URL on the webpage that appears. It will not give the user immediate access to register for the program.
To share this program’s URL with users and prevent them from registering without first entering the Access Code, follow these steps…
Click Basics in the sub navigation.
Copy and share the Program Link.
Note: The Program Link that you copied does not include the Access Code in the URL, preventing the user from to registering for the program until they enter the Access Code on the program’s page.Share the Access Code with whoever you want to be able to register for the program.
