How to Send Sponsorship-Marketing Messaging

Sponsorship-Marketing Messages do not provide information for a program the recipient is presently signed up for. Users may opt out of these messages at any time.

A few things to consider before filtering your recipients…

  • Local Sponsorship: Sign in to the respective brand’s PlayerFirst site.

  • Regional Sponsorship: Sign in to the respective region’s PlayerFirst site.

  • Sport-Specific Sponsorship: Sign in to the respective sport vertical’s PlayerFirst site.

  • 3Step Sponsorship (All Brands): Sign in to 3Step’s PlayerFirst site.

Note: All emails sent to an athlete CC the parent/guardian profiles on their account.

  3. Select Your Brand(s): Leave the default brand selected. You can select multiple brands to send to by using the multi-select column on the left of the table. Click Next.

Note: Step 4 will automatically be skipped if only one brand is selected.

  4. Brand Customization: Select whether you want the message’s branding based on the recipient, or if you want the message branding based on the PlayerFirst brand you are currently signed in for.
Note: This page will only show if you selected multiple brands to message.

    1. Message branding includes things that cannot be changed in the email creation process.

      1. EX: The email’s Footer, Header, and From Email Address.

    2. If an athlete is a part of multiple brands, they will receive the email from the brand where that hosted their most recent activity/registration.

    3. Users will be able to unsubscribe from marketing/sponsorship emails from whichever brand they receive the email is from.
