As of 12/18/2023, PlayerFirst has made several updates and bug fixes to improve the text editor utilized on communications and program pages. These improvements included the following…

Main Header Element 

  • Added background size options to the design section. 

  • Added background display options to the design section. 

  • Added background color options to the design section. For use when a transparent PNG or no background image is used. 

  • Added the ability to hide the logo image.

  • Can now use the pan and crop tool on the logo image. 

  • Can now use the pan and crop tool on the background image. 

  • Users can use the restore button to switch back to their original image. 

  • Added the ability to customize font family on the Alert, Headline and Subtitle attributes. 

Button Element 

  • Added font family support for individual buttons. 

  • Buttons are now captured as images when the email is sent to maintain style consistency. 

  • Added the option to make individual buttons transparent for use with backgrounds and themes. 

Text / Card Header Elements 

  • Added the option to make individual cells transparent. 

  • Added the subheading option. 

  • Includes support for font family and font color. 

  • Added the option to exempt individual cells from global/default settings. 

  • By default, newly added cells will now use any global font settings unless exempted. 

  • Added support for Heading alignment in the sidecar, separate from the pre-existing text alignment. 

  • Restructured sidecar for a more logical workflow. 

Row Settings 

  • Added support for 3 preset sizes to help maintain consistency across the email. 

  • Users can now set margins above and below an individual row. 

Image Element 

  • Images that are swapped out by double clicking to open the media manager will now retain all previous settings. 

  • Added support for GIFs. 

Video Link Element 

  • Added custom video link function allows admin to enter a video URL to direct the user to when clicked.  Previously, mail clients removed embedded videos. 

  • YouTube and Vimeo URLs will automatically populate the Thumbnail image. 

  • The user can also add a custom thumbnail using the media manager. 

  • Added options to allow the user to adjust the background image fit if necessary. 

Miscellaneous improvements within the text editor are… 

  • Added icon size option to the Social Icons element. 

  • Cell layout for multi-cell rows will now be consistent across mobile mail clients.  Previously some mobile mail clients would keep multi-cell rows on one line, causing distorted content. 

  • Refactored a handful of processes to improve general performance. 

  • Images with links can now be properly swapped out by double clicking. 

  • Images that are resized using the (25, 50, 75, 100) buttons now properly reflect the width across mail clients. 

  • Right and center image alignment has been fixed across mail clients. 

  • Users can now send test emails to multiple addresses at once, separated by a comma. 

  • Background is able to save.
