Content Editor Overview

Note: The Content Editor is the ribbon available for creating and editing both Communication messages and Web Page content.

Purpose: This overview will provide details on each Content Editor option, moving from left to right across the ribbon.

Heading

  • Select text format from the dropdown options:

    • Paragraph

    • Main Header

    • Large Header

    • Medium Header

    • Small Header

Text Alignment

  • Select text alignment from the dropdown options:

    • Align Left

    • Align Right

    • Align Center

    • Justify

Bold

  • Bold selected text.

Italic

  • Italicize selected text.

Remove Format

  • Reset selected text to default formatting (ex: if Program Start has been bolded, italicized and align centered, clicking remove format with this text selected will undo all of this user formatting and reset to the default formatting - i.e. not bolded, not italicized and not align centered).

Advanced Text

  • Further configure selected text from the dropdown options:

    • Underline

    • Strikethrough

    • Subscript

    • Superscript

    • Special Characters

    • Increase Indent

    • Decrease Indent

Link

  • Link URL to selected text.

    • Option to open linked URL in a new window (default is open in same window).

    • Clicking green checkmark completes the add of the linked URL to the selected text.

Bulleted List

  • Select a bulleted list from the dropdown options:

    • Disc

    • Circle

    • Square

Numbered List

  • Select a numbered list from the dropdown options:

    • Decimal

    • Decimal With Leading Zero

    • Lower-Roman

    • Upper=Roman

    • Lower-Latin

    • Upper-Latin

Insert Image

  • Click insert image icon to select from available options.

  • Click the dropdown menu to add a new image URL not currently available.

  • Formats Allowed: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, ai, pst, eps and svg.

Insert Doc

  • Select from available options.

  • Add Files for additional documents.

  • Formats Allowed: zip, pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, and csv.

Insert Video

  • Select from available options.

  • Add Files for additional videos.

  • Formats Allowed: mp4 only.

Layout Row

  • Select a layout from the tile options:

    • Image

    • Main Header

    • One Image Row

    • Two Image Row

    • Image Left + Text Right

    • Text Left + Image Right

    • Two Text Row

    • One Text Row

    • Button

    • Cards

    • Expando

Block Quote

  • Input a text quote within the paragraph text.

Insert Media

  • Add a new media URL.

Insert HTML

  • Format selected text as HTML.

Source

  • Edit source code.

Undo

  • Undo action.

Redo

  • Redo undone action.
