Coach/Team Manager Overview

Coach/Team Managers will have the following capabilities available on the desktop's front end under the Teams tab.

  • Schedule

    • Add/Edit Events.

  • Roster

    • View a Team Roster.

    • Update Athlete Jersey Numbers

  • Message

    • Create and Send Email Communications

Schedule Page

How to Create an Event

  1. Log into your Brands PlayerFirst Website.

  2. Click on Teams.

  3. Click Team Info for the team that you wish to view.

  4. Click the Add Item button.

  5. Select the Event Type for the events that you are creating.

  1. What will you schedule? Use the dropdown to choose the type of event you want to schedule. Click Next

    1. Practice: Choosing practice allows you to create one or more of the same practices for one or more teams.

    2. Other: Choosing other allows you to create one or more of the same “other” events for one or more teams. You can also change the Title of the event from Other, to whatever you want it to be. E.g., film session, team dinner, etc.

  2. Program: Type the name of the program you want to schedule an event for.

  3. Teams to Schedule: Select the team(s) you want to schedule an event for. Click Next.

  4. Title: If scheduling an “other” event, type out the name of this event here. E.g., film session, team dinner, etc.

  5. Uniform: Type the uniform information that your team needs. E.g., wearing home or away jerseys, etc.

  6. Arrival: If different for the event start time, type the time when athletes should arrive at the event location.

  7. Other Notes: Use this section to type out any other notes your team might need to have about this event.

  8. Click Next.

  9. Select your location:

    1. Location Name: Type out and select the location of the event.

    2. If the location search box doesn’t pull up your location, click Add Location to create a new location.

    3. If the location is TBA (To be announced), check the Location TBA check box.

  10. Select your field:

    1. Field Name: Type out and select the field, court, etc. that your event will be played on.

    2. If the field search box doesn’t pull up the field you need, click Add Field to create a new field.

  11. Field Notes: Use this section to type out any field-specific notes your team might need to know. E.g., the nearest parking lot location.

  12. Time Zone: Choose the time zone where your event is taking place.

  13. Start: Input the start date and time for the event.

  14. End: Input the end date and time for the event.

  15. TBA: If the exact times for the event are TBA, click this check box and use the Start and End dates and times to input the earliest possible event start and latest possible event end.

  16. Recurrence: If this event is recurring, select Weekly.

    1. Recurrence Days: Choose the day(s) on which your event recurs.

    2. Recurrent Range: Choose End Date.

    3. End by Date: Input the last date for the event’s recurrence.

    4. Exclude Date(s): Use this section to type out the dates that the recurrence should skip. Use the given format.

    5. Click Review Dates and make whatever date-specific changes you may need to.

  17. Show Publicly Starting: Set the date and time for when this event will be shown publicly on the team’s schedule. Set a past date and time for the event to be shown publicly immediately.

  18. Confirmation & Save: Confirm and save your scheduled events.

    1. Communication Dashboard: Check this box if, after saving, you want to go to the Communication section to message team(s) about their added events.

  1. What will you schedule? Use the dropdown to choose the type of event you want to schedule.
    Game: Choosing a game allows you to schedule one game at a time for a single team. Click Next.

  2. Program: Type the name of the program you want to schedule a game for.

  3. Team: Select the team you want to schedule a game for. Click Next.

  4. Title: Type the title for the game.

  5. Opponent: Type the name of your opponent's team.

  6. Uniform: Type the uniform information that your team needs. E.g., wearing home or away jerseys, etc.

  7. Arrival: If different for the event start time, type the time when athletes should arrive at the event location.

  8. Other Notes: Use this section to type out any other notes your team might need to have about this event.

  9. Click Next.

  10. Select your location:

    1. Location Name: Type out and select the location of the event.

    2. If the location search box doesn’t pull up your location, click Add Location to create a new location.

  11. Select your field:

    1. Field Name: Type out and select the field, court, etc. that your event will be played on.

    2. If the field search box doesn’t pull up the field you need, click Add Field to create a new field.

    1. Sender Profile: Use the dropdown to select your username. The notification email will read as being sent by you.

    2. Notify Players: Check the check box to send the notification email to your team’s athletes and parents.

    3. Notify Parents: Check the check box to send the notification email to your team’s parents only.

  19. Click Save.

How to Edit an Event

  1. Log into your Brands PlayerFirst Website.

  2. Click on Teams.

  3. Click Team Info for the team that you wish to view.

  4. Find the event you want to Edit.

  5. Scroll to the right in your schedule to find the Actions column, and click the edit button on the correct row.

  6. Making Changes: Make whatever change(s) you need to make.

    1. Changed: Check the checkbox to assign an icon notifying athletes and parents that this event has been changed.

    2. Canceled: Check the checkbox to assign an icon notifying athletes and parents that this event has been canceled.

    3. Edit the other fields to reflect the change(s) you want to make for the event. The below are the most likely to be changed.

    4. Date: Change the event’s date.

    5. Start: Change the event’s start time.

    6. End: Change the event’s end time.

    7. Time Zone: Use the dropdown to select a different time zone.

    8. Uniform Notes: Type the uniform information that your team needs. E.g., wearing home or away jerseys, etc.

    9. Arrival Notes: If different for the event start time, type the time when athletes should arrive at the event location.

    10. Location: Delete the current location. Then type the name and select the new location in the search box.

    11. Field Notes: If you change the location, use the search box to select the new field.

  7. Notifications: Use this section to send a notification about this event to your team(s).

    1. Sender Profile: Use the dropdown to select your username. The notification email will read as being sent by you.

    2. Notify Players: Check the check box to send the notification email to your team’s athletes and parents.

    3. Notify Parents: Check the check box to send the notification email to your team’s parents only.

  8. Click Save.

How to View Your Team Roster

  1. Log into your Brands PlayerFirst Website.

  2. Click on Teams.

  3. Click Team Info for the team that you wish to view.

  4. Click on the Roster tab.

How to Update an Athlete Jersey Number

  1. Log into your Brands PlayerFirst Website.

  2. Click on Teams.

  3. Click Team Info for the team that you wish to view.

  4. Click on the Roster tab.

  5. Find the athlete of the jersey that needs to be updated, and click on edit, next to the Jersey Number.

  6. Enter the new Jersey Number.

  7. Click Save.

Message Page

How to Create and Send Email Communications

  1. Log into your Brands PlayerFirst Website.

  2. Click on Teams.

  3. Click Team Info for the team that you wish to view.

  4. Click on the Message tab.

  5. Select your Recipients.

    1. To Select All, click on Athlete Select All.

  6. Add Additional Recipients if desired.

  7. Add your Subject (Required).

  8. Type your message.

  9. Click Send Messages.
