STRIPE FAQ

STRIPE FAQ

We have updated our payment processor.  You may notice some differences during the checkout process. Below are some FAQs to help navigate the new process.

Will my customers' saved payments still work when they check out?

Saved Payment Methods: Customer will no longer see their ACH information or expired Credit Card numbers saved as payment methods. Only current credit cards and credit cards that are saved on a payment plan will be saved for future use.

Payment Plan Payment Methods: Any current credit card and ACH have been returned to PlayerFirst as of Jun 4, 2025. To view payment plans, go to Sales > Payment Plan Status

Will payment methods be available for me when I try to make a payment on an invoice as an Admin?

Only current credit cards will be available to use as a payment method. No ACH account information will be saved until a customer has validated their bank account information successfully

Can I still take an ACH payment over the phone?

Stripe requires bank authorization before an ACH can be saved, so you will not be able to take new ACH account information over the phone and process a payment. A link will be available to send to a customer so they can validate their bank information and then have that method available for future payments.

How do I help my customer if their ACH does not verify

If an ACH goes unverified, it will show on the invoices as unpaid and may trigger a chargeback.

It can take up to 10 business days to be reflected on the invoice.

To help the customer pay the open invoice, direct them to the My Orders/Payments Page.

ACH Customer Help

They can pay by credit card or Bank-to-Bank ACH. This feature requires verification before the customer can complete checkout.

A manual ACH payment option was available until 6/17. This is no longer available as an option because it would require an email verification each time after the checkout was complete, causing open balances and chargebacks.

If a chargeback was incurred because of an ACH verification issue, RDSOs can approve the removal of the fee line item.
