How to Create Blackout Times for a Team
Note 1: A blackout time is a period of time within which the scheduler will not schedule games for that team.
Note 2: Blackout times for a team participating in a tournament will most likely occur for a period of time within one day.
Note 3: Blackout times for a team participating in a league may occur for a period of time within one day or one week, and are more likely to utilize a weekly recurrence than blackout times for a tournament.
Sign in to a PlayerFirst website.
On the left navigation, click Schedule > Leagues & Tournaments.
Select a league or tournament.
Select Divisions/Flights from the sub navigation.
Scroll down to the Team Information section.
Find the row for the team you want to assign a blackout time to, under the Blackouts column, click the number. This number defaults to 0 unless a blackout has been previously added.
Click Create Blackout Times.
Start: Enter the date and time for the blackout to begin.
End: Enter the date and time for the blackout to end.
Recurrence: In the dropdown, if the blackout time is a stand alone event leave as None. If the blackout time is recurring, select Weekly.
Recurrent Range: In the dropdown, select Total Number if there will be a set number of recurrences, or select End Date if the recurrence should end by a specific date.
Total: Only shows when the Recurrent Range is set to Total Number. Enter the total number of recurrences.
End by date: Only shows when the Recurrent Range is set to End Date. Enter the date when the recurrences will end.
Exclude Date(s): If there are specific dates to be excluded, type them into the Exclude Date(s) field in the given format.
Click Review Dates.
Review the recurring blackout times. The individual blackout dates and times can be edited, if necessary.
Click Save Dates.
Click Back to return to the Divisions/Flights page.
